In an episode of "Story Of Rock'n'Roll" , there was an
interview with Arthur Baker in the studio, showing how "Confusion" came to be.
According to him, New Order did the bass line / Baker added the backwards drum machine
sounds / New Order added keyboards (Hooky, apparently) / Baker added handclaps / New Order
added guitars (Hooky, apparently) / Baker added the "Confusion!" chants, and so
on...
