Revenge were formed in 1987 by Peter Hook, guitarist Dave Hicks and keyboardist / computer whiz Chris "CJ" Jones. Hicks previously played in a band produced by Hook, while CJ was the engineer in Hook's own Suite 16 studios in Manchester. After writing through 1988 they made their live debut at London's Skin 2 bondage in January 1990 with drummer Ashley Taylor and bass player David Potts. Their debut release was the "7 Reasons" single, followed by the "One True Passion" album.
